These words are full of hope for a better future. However, progress is not inevitable. Progress requires that all people of conscience act. Your actions don’t have to be big, like running for public office or starting a nonprofit. They can be simpler, like committing to vote in every election or volunteering to help those in need. Today, the officially celebrated anniversary of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr’s birth, is a great day to take a few minutes to think about what you can do to practice the Art of Peace, not just on the mat, but in your daily life.
