A big thank you to all of the Nashville Aikikai members who contributed to the Shade Tree Clinic.  We raised $498.00 to help the uninsured in Nashville get medical care.  We will be organizing some group volunteer activities later in the year.  Please watch this space.

Mike P. and Marta had a great week at the ASU Winter Intensive in St. Pete Beach, Florida between Christmas and New Years, training with Saotome Shihan and other senior instructors.  It was a particularly rare treat to train with Patty Saotome.  We look forward to future seminars.  I know many of us are planning to go to Louisville in February to train with Ikeda Shihan.

Mini-seminar this weekend with Tom and Mary McIntire Sensei

This is a reminder that this weekend Nashville Aikikai will present it’s last Mini-Seminar of 2013. This will consist of two classes on Saturday Dec. 14.

The Schedule is as follows:
Morning Keiko; 10:30 am
Afternoon Keiko 2:30 pm (This is subject to change if testing after morning class runs long.)

Due to the Seminar, the Second Friday class will meet as regular keiko, i.e. there is no special 2nd Fri class but Fri evening class will meet as regularly scheduled.

Hope to see everyone on Saturday. This should be a fun day. Come prepared to train, learn and to take ukemi for those individuals who are testing (we have 5 tests this time).

Please remember there is no seminar fee for Nashville Aikikai members (this includes the Cookville and Murray dojos).

Yours in Aikido

Tom and Mary Sensei
